Based in Moore Oklahoma, Abby Candles started in 1998 in the kitchen of Jim and Kiersten Neal. After purchasing a candle from a friend to support a fundraiser and being disappointed in the quality, Jim took that as a challenge to come up with something better—a better product and a better fundraiser.
Following considerable research and testing into new wax blends and scents, Jim and Kiersten produced their first candles and shared them with family and friends as gifts. They loved them and word quickly spread. Jim convinced friends to try them as a fundraiser. When the group turned in their orders, they had sold 7,000 candles! For two weeks around the clock (1-year-old Abby and 4-year-old Seth in tow) Jim poured wax and Kiersten wicked candles. Abby Candles was born and moved from the kitchen to the garage to the first manufacturing facility in Muncie.
Over the years Abby Candles has continually improved its candle making operations with advanced fragrance designs and high quality soy based wax blends that provide the highest quality candle you can buy. Today, with over 60 fragrances, Abby Candles continues to manufacture hand-poured, richly scented candles. Abby also sells melts, warmers, and air fresheners in a variety of scents from old favorites like Hot Apple Pie to our new scent, Citrus Splash. Our products are sold by hundreds of fundraising groups around the country as well as in gift shops, on the web, and at our semi-annual warehouse sales.
Even as we grow, we maintain our focus on what makes our products so successful - superior quality and customer service. We make it easy and profitable for fundraising groups of all sizes. No group is too small. Whether a group has 5 members or over 500, we make it simple and fun to raise money by selling a product that people will want to buy.
